Legal Agreement and Licensing Framework

1. Contractual Relationship

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the VantaTrace error tracking and telemetry console website, API endpoints, and client SDKs. By creating an account, mounting the SDK middleware, or accessing our console dashboards, you signify your agreement to be bound by these Terms.

2. Account Registration & Security

To use our services, you must register for a VantaTrace account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete registration information. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account tokens, API keys, and passwords, and for any activities occurring under your credentials.

3. Telemetry Ingestion Policies

Our client SDK captures system statistics, request headers, error logs, and stacks to aid in application debugging. You must configure client-side redaction (enabled by default in `@vantatrace/sdk`) to strip password attributes, bearer tokens, cookies, or auth keys.

Under no circumstances will VantaTrace be liable for sensitive personal data or financial logs that you transmit to the ingestion endpoint without proper sanitization.

4. Subscription Billing, Upgrades, & Cancellations

  • Billing Cycle: Service fees are charged on a recurring monthly basis. Invoiced amounts are non-refundable.
  • Cancellation Grace Period: When you cancel a subscription, paid features and ingestion limits will remain active and fully accessible until the end of your current monthly billing period (indicated by the subscriptionEndsAt parameter).
  • Downgrades & Deletions: Upon completion of the grace period, unpaid accounts will revert to the Free Plan tier limit configuration.

5. Intellectual Property

All software, layout designs, algorithms, fingerprinting engines, and graphics associated with VantaTrace are the exclusive intellectual property of VantaTrace Inc. and its licensors. The `@vantatrace/sdk` client package is distributed under the open-source MIT License.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

VantaTrace is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that exception reporting will be 100% uninterrupted or error-free.

7. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted to this page, and the "Last updated" date will be updated accordingly. Continued use of VantaTrace constitutes acceptance of modified Terms.
